We are pleased to announce, the White Squirrel Institute will have a table at the White Squirrel Day event and will be handling White Squirrel adoptions. The adoptions help support the wildlife rehabilitators and the important work they do for our wildlife populations.
The star of the day will be the infamous white squirrel Pisgah Pete, who has accurately predicted the winner of the past several super bowls. Please visit the

We also would like to give a shout out to Jennifer Burgin, a licensed wildlife rehabilitator specializing in critical care of squirrels, she is Pisgah Petes caregiver and champion. Pisgah Pete suffered a traumatic brain injury and unfortunately could not be returned to the wild. He spends his days being treated like a king and lives a safe and happy life.
